[A nod; he's certainly not willing to bet money that the Lady will be careless enough to skip over another incentive.
At that, though...]
I was thinking the same thing. She seemed furious with him, though I can't say I understand why. It's possible that he insulted her at some point and she's furious over something petty, but I'm not entirely sure that's the case. She was willing to talk to me, after all, even though she was rather obviously not happy about it.
[Obviously he can't say for sure, but if she really was truly that petty, he doesn't think she'd even allow him in her office to begin with.]
[ Would that it were the Lady was as much. It'd have made their lives a lot easier.
But if it were easier, they'd have likely found a way out of this already. ]
Yeah. I know for sure he angered her the first time they spoke by calling her a coward when she showed up with Rembrandt. But, it really didn't seem like something from a simple insult.
...I guess we'll find out sooner or later for sure, but I'm glad that I wasn't the only one who thought it was weird.
My hope is that they'll open up more if they come to like any of us, but that's certainly not something I'm expecting. We'll likely have more luck exploring and seeing what we can learn from the city.
[Though he's not expecting too much there either; he doubts the Lady would just leave anything around for them to find without a damn good reason for it.]
...Yeah. Honestly, I don't think I can hide how much I dislike them when I'm speaking to either so I'm definitely not expecting that on my account. If someone else can manage that and report to everyone, that'd be great, but...
[ He'll just shake his head. ]
I figure that we're bound to at least see some results from somewhere if we keep at it. Even if, as I'm also suspecting, it'd mostly be from checking out things in the city.
[ Rean figured that with a two-pronged attack would at least produce some sort of substantial result, though. ]

[Hmm...]
If I was on better terms with her, I'd ask her about it. As it stands, I doubt she'd give me anything even if I was feeling bold enough to ask.

I'll try to see what I could find out.
[ Because he figured he could try braving Lady Hellion. ]
I really wish we weren't so in the dark about our captors' motives and backgrounds, but hopefully that'll change soon.
