[Zangetsu is in the arcade again. It seems like that's just... where he lives now. He has a whole bottle of cheap vodka from the jazz bar and he's just sort of... staring up at the TV]
[he takes a long sip of the vodka before answering]
.... Whatever.
[if Rean gets closer, he can see there's a strange patch of large, shiny black scales covering his right eye and part of his face, on the same side as his broken horn]
...I almost thought you were playing a game, but it didn't really seem like it. What are you watching, exactly?
[ He didn't have a TV back home, so while he was aware people could use screens like they could in Crossbell, sitting still in a place and just watching it like this wasn't exactly so common for him. ]
...I'm sorry. I just thought it'd be nice if I came and kept you a little company for awhile.
The situation we're facing right now is hard, and the trial even moreso. But it was more difficult than usual. I also find that having someone nearby in situations like these can help sometimes—and even some smalltalk that can sometimes turn into more than just idle chatter. I'm...so used to doing it, I guess I didn't even think twice about it.
... I don't want company. I don't want more people pretending to be nice to me just so they can lie to me later. I'm done with all of you. Trying to be friends... [he slumps into the beanbag] .... stupid. Just stupid.
poooost trial week 5
Rean had been feeling honestly betrayed, angry, and hurt himself. But he could tell the man wasn't dealing with it well either.
He was also really exhausted, but...still. Still. ]

Rean looked at him wearily, even if the other didn't look back. ]
...Will you allow me to stay a little while at least? Please?

I was....
....
ugh. It doesn't matter! [Zangetsu growls, grabbing a remote and turning off the television]
Look, I know you didn't come all this way just ta make small talk. What do you want, Rean.

Have a good evening, and if you need anything in the future, don't hesitate to ask.
[ He'll leave him to it for now, not wanting to disturb him any further. ]
